Whop updates
Whop updates
Whop ships new features, fee changes and payouts all year. We read the announcement feed and explain each one in plain English, with our own data where we have it.
- Economic Intelligence: what changes for members and sellers 2026-10-06
Whop added Economic Intelligence to the seller dashboard. It suggests a next step for your business, such as an ad campaign, and can carry it out for you. It matters to sellers, and it is not free: our test store was offered it for an extra 3% of volume for 1 day. Members see no direct change.
- Verified Partners: what changes for members and sellers 2026-10-06
Whop added a paid Verified Partner tier to its referral program. For a one-time $199 and a KYC check, partners can set custom fees for businesses they refer and partner with businesses already on Whop once the owner accepts. It matters to referrers and to sellers, who now have a partner request inbox. Members see no change.
- Whop Tax Service: what changes for members and sellers 2026-10-06
Whop added a Tax Service that works out sales tax and VAT at checkout and can also file it for the seller. Sellers pick one of three setups in the dashboard. The two managed setups cost 2% per transaction. Our new test store was already on the full-service setup. Members may now see tax at checkout.
- Whop Ads: what changes for members and sellers 2026-10-06
Whop Ads lets sellers run Facebook and Instagram ads from the Whop dashboard, through Whop's own Meta agency accounts. Whop charges no platform fee; sellers pay the ad spend and can fund it from their Whop balance. Only Meta is live; other platforms are listed as coming soon. Members only see the ads.
- Whop Treasury: what changes for members and sellers 2026-10-06
Whop Treasury lets money sitting in a Whop balance earn a variable yield, up to 6% APY by Whop's figure. Funds are held as a dollar stablecoin and lent out on Aave. It is not FDIC insured and the yield is not guaranteed. It matters most to sellers who keep large balances on Whop.
