Economic Intelligence: what changes for members and sellers

By Wes Calder · Published 2026-10-06

Whop added Economic Intelligence to the seller dashboard. It suggests a next step for your business, such as an ad campaign, and can carry it out for you. It matters to sellers, and it is not free: our test store was offered it for an extra 3% of volume for 1 day. Members see no direct change.

What changes for members

  • Nothing to turn on or pay for. Economic Intelligence lives in the seller dashboard, not the member app.
  • You may notice its work. Whop's examples include ad campaigns, site changes and a recurring weekly DM to a seller's top clients.

What changes for sellers

  • The dashboard shows recommended actions. Click one, hit run, and Whop's AI carries it out with little input from you.
  • Suggestions are tuned to your type of business. Whop's examples: a Whop Ads campaign, a Whop Blueprints site update, or a recurring DM to top clients.
  • Whop's figure: businesses on it for one month grew combined sales 31.8% against the month before, in a sample of 14,905 businesses. Whop calls the figures approximate. We have not checked them.
  • It costs extra, and the launch post names no price. Our test store was offered three windows: 5% of volume for 1 hour, 3% for 1 day, or 1% for 7 days, charged as an additional fee on payments.
  • Once on, it cannot be cancelled for the window, per the dialog's terms line. Before turning it on, our new store with no sales saw no recommended actions, only the card to turn it on.

What we found

  • Economic Intelligence fee offered to our test store, shortest window: 5% of volume for 1 hour (WTJ test store capture)
  • Economic Intelligence fee offered to our test store, default window (marked Popular): 3% of volume for 1 day (WTJ test store capture)
  • Economic Intelligence fee offered to our test store, longest window: 1% of volume for 7 days (WTJ test store capture)
