What a cook group does
A cook group is a paid community that helps you buy limited items at retail and resell them. Members get restock alerts, release calendars, bot and proxy group buys, and guides.
What it costs
Prices run from about $6 a month for alert-only Pokémon groups (Poke Alerts, $5.99) to $75+ for full-service groups with 1-on-1 help (Polar Chefs, $75).
The honest catch
Alerts don't beat bots on their own. Poke Alerts reviewers say bots still win most drops, and Plugged Inn told a cancelling member results are 'luck and timing'. Profit also needs capital for inventory.
